Job Summary:
We’re searching for an experienced childcare administration professional at Shiloh Christian Daycare to work in a friendly, family-oriented daycare environment and become part of the Shiloh community. Shiloh Christian Daycare is a Christ-centered daycare and preschool where our goal is to provide a safe and fun learning environment while teaching children about God’s love for them. We are a ministry of Shiloh Baptist Church. Shiloh holds high the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the unifying center around which everything else is built and from which all ministry flows. We believe that the starting point for everything, and our main goal, is to see each individual person come to put their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
Benefits: Health insurance & Paid time off
Schedule: 8-hour shift | Monday to Friday
Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
Administration, early childhood ed: 5 years (Preferred)
Computer operation: 1 year (Preferred)
Work Location: Sarland, AL (In-person)
Role and Responsibilities
· Supervise daycare staff, including professional development, assigning work hours, submitting hours for payroll, and performance reviews.
· Provide educational and spiritual direction for the daycare in coordination with the senior pastor and Daycare Committee.
· Manage human resources for the daycare.
· Publish annual revisions of the teacher and parent handbooks.
· Communicate with daycare parents.
· Make physical and electronic bank deposits of daycare tuition and fees.
· Oversee daycare spending in conjunction with the Shiloh Baptist Church executive assistant.
· Plan activities for daycare students and families, including at least one major outreach event annually in conjunction with Shiloh Baptist Church.
· Ensure that daycare facilities meet standards for state inspections.
· Work with the pastor of children and families on outreach to daycare families.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· A born-again follower of Jesus who is a regular attendee of an evangelical church.
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Associate’s degree or equivalent a plus.
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in daycare administration, early childhood education, or equivalent.
· Exercise an unwavering degree of discretion and privacy when working in situations involving personal information.
· Basic computer and office equipment skills, including, but not limited to, scanners, copiers, printers, binders, projectors, and video conference equipment.
· Excellent organization, follow-up, and follow-through skills.
· Ability to interact with parents in a courteous and professional manner.
· Bookkeeping experience a plus.
